HIA Sud Abnus

Abnus is Standing back home in Washington State 

at Ahadd Arabians for all future breeding seasons.

Our premier stallion by Ahadd is: HIA Sud Abnus (Ahadd x RG Selene, by Alcibiades) pronounced; Sood Ahb noose, a Black straight Egyptian, Al Khamsa, Blue List, Sweepstakes Nominated stallion of national caliber. Abnus is a Multi halter Champion, with impeccable conformation, height and a strong pedigree. His presence, style and grace are captivating. We believe Abnus is destined to have a great impact on the breed and have been overwhelmed by the response he has had nationally and internationally.

Sud Abnus is a 15.2 hand Black Straight Egyptian Stallion - Al Khamsa - Blue List - IAHA Sweepstakes Nominated. Abnus is the product of a 25-year breeding program that was begun by Haddad Izba's Sharon Smith.

Abnus foals are sensational. They are large, beautiful in type and very correct in their feet and legs. He is siring foals with color and superb movement. Many have been at least one shade darker than the mare’s color. He has also produced black with non-black mares of various pedigrees. “From such a small gene pool to draw from this horse is almost perfect”.

Sud Abnus is just one the many examples of the quality we strive for in breeding these wonderful horses.

His sire is the multi Champion and Champion sire, AHADD, by *ASADD++ who is by the incomparable *Sultann.  Fayette, Ahadd's Dam is an Ansata Abbas Pasha & Bint Fay Roufa mare. 

RG Selene, Abnus' Dam, is an Alcibiades x Desert Song RSI mare. RG Selene is one of only two daughters from this crossing, and besides being Straight Egyptian, she is also Sheykh Obeyd. Selene past away this April of 2007 at the age of 29. Even in this last year to see her turn it up and pound the ground at her age was a vision of power!

Abnus comes from a color dominant female line (2 Black and 3 Bay sisters). He himself is color dominant, usually putting on at least one shade darker to the foal of most mares.

Abnus, with limited showing at halter is a Multi Show Champion, Regional Champion and Regional Futurity Champion.

The Quality and refinement of his foals is very impressive. His foals are large, beautiful in type and very correct. They have superb movement, and a true willingness to work.

Sud Abnus currently is Standing at a breeding fee of $1,600. Abnus does live breedings and transported semen. A standard $450 booking fee is requested. This fee is part of the total $1,600. Private Treaties are Welcomed.

Abnus returned to the show ring after a 5 year absence at the 2000 Egyptian event, Taking 4th place over all in the ATH Stallion 3yr and Over Class.
