The Carolyn Resnick Method of Training at Liberty .

"Learn the true language of Horses"

The Resnick Method of Liberty Training is different from the well known Line of Natural Horsemanship forms.  Even though The Resnick Method is done at Liberty, free of Tack, it is NOT another version of Natural Horsemanship nor is it about teaching your horse tricks.  In this training method the term "liberty training" refers to working with the horse at liberty, free of tack, and free to choose to interact with you in the way horses go about establishing relationships with other horses in a herd.

I believe the basic form of Horsemanship should be based on how horses naturally communicate with each other in a herd environment.  I don't believe in fear based training or running the horse around and around in a round pen until he gives in to you or swinging whips and sticks at the horse.  When using the Resnick Method you will progress through any other form of training much better and with a much more willing horse.

I truly believe with horses, that respect and willingness is not gained by teaching the horse you may hit him, that he should be dominated or that being away from you is bad.

It is not a horse's fault that they do not speak a human language. So, we help teach you the horse's way of communication.

The Resnick Method of Liberty Training is the missing foundation step that should precede all other training and can be used to enhance any and all other training.

No Tack, No Whips or Sticks, No round Pen, just you and your horse, free;

at Liberty, building a willing trust. Take the first step to connect with your horse.

These Pictures show the Connection and Trust my horse and I share

I have been working with many breeds of horses since 1973. Breeding, Training and Showing horses in many disciplines. I have demonstrated and conducted performances of The Resnick Method of Liberty Training since 1985 with my El Hilal Egyptian Arabian mare, JM Tatami, delighting audiences of up to 25,000 at many venues, such as Seattle’s King Dome, The Tacoma Dome, Spokane Horse affair, and numerous other places throughout the Pacific Northwest.

The Resnick Method of Liberty Training was assembled by the renowned equine communications expert, Carolyn Resnick, who has been communicating with horses in they're own natural and native way for over 50 years. And I have been working with this method for 25 years.

Someone with little horse experience can do just as well as an advanced rider. We developed this method of training by studying the behavior of wild horses and watching their pecking order.  From this we have learned their method of communication which we teach in training courses.

All clinics develop communication by using a language the horse understands:

  • Community

  • Herd behavior & pecking order

  • Body language

  • Leadership

The Resnick Method of Liberty Training, is basically nature’s own technique for training horses without the use of  tack. A technique based on: The Native equine communications that horses already use and understand such as "Herding" and the "Pecking Order". Training time can be dramatically reduced by communicating with your horse the way they communicate with each other.

"The horse is free to interact or not, which speeds up the training process and deepens the relationship," Carolyn explains. "Many of our students ride their horses for the first time in a clinic and do it in a large arena with no tack whatsoever".

What this also means is we don't need to use the “Predator method or "Round Pen" to break the horse down. We “invite” the horse to interact with us.

Not to just give in due to fear or from the "do what your told or else" position.

This Training Method is set up with several steps to better your connection with your horse and move into any other training.

If you and your horse have a trusting bond, then there are less limitations on what you can do with your horse and you should have a more willing horse to enjoy.

As you can see from the pictures there is definitely a trust between my horse and I.
